  1. Where do you call home? Toronto.
  2. What do you love most about it? II love the diversity of the city.
  3. Born and raised here or Johnny-come-lately? I was born in Jamaica, raised in Montreal and moved in Toronto in 1991.
  4. Is it a winter wonderland or summertime paradise? It’s a summertime paradise for 2 weeks and then ..sigh.
  5. What’s your commute like? Being in the downtown area gives the luxury to walk to wherever I need to go or I take the TTC.
  6. What do you do on a day off? Sleep.
  7. It’s my first time in town. Where should we go? You should go to Chinatown and check out the artists in Kensington Market.
  8. Is there anything you’d change about it? The construction causing traffic throughout the city is not fun be in.
  9. Where do you go when it’s time to get away? Montreal, my former stomping ground or Jamaica, my first stomping ground.
  10. Favourite local landmark? Nathan Phillips Square.
  11. Best local event or festival: Caribana Parade.
  12. Favourite local team: The Argos.
  13. Favourite local celebrity: Maestro Fresh Wes.
  14. Time to shop. Historic downtown or Big Box Land? I love shopping along Queen Street West downtown.
  15. Favourite Mom & Pop shop: La Paloma on St Clair West for my gelato cravings.
  16. Favourite local restaurant: Marcello’s on St Clair West.
  17. Best place to grab a beverage: Piper’s Pub and Grill on St Clair West.
  18. Grocery store or farmers market? I go to Farmer’s market for fresh produce and grocery store for other items.
  19. Tell us something only locals know: Toronto is a big , diverse city with a little of everything for everyone.
  20. What does supporting local mean to you? It means supporting homegrown business flourish.

Jesse is a typical class clown. Born and raised just north of the Toronto, he fell in love with the City on school trips to the ROM and the Science Centre. He tried Vancouver for a few years, but the call of home was too strong to resist. Today he lives in the North-East Upper Beaches. (What? It’s a thing!)
